Indian spinners namely Harbhajan Singh, Amit Mishra and Anil kumble, who have been trademark spinners for their country, are all set to; stamp their authority, with leather in hand, for their respective franchises this year IPL.
Obviously they did not make much of a foothold in last year and no wonder why they are excited enough, to alter the script this season. For Harbhajan Singh, who is all set, to play a vital role, for Mumbai Indians unlike last year, thanks to slap gate incident, expressed that he wanted, to fare well for their team and win the trophy for them.
He also added that, he was no mug with the bat, where he was making continuous efforts in nets ,to hone his batting skills and did repent on fact he hasn’t scored a test match hundred yet. Harbhajan also said that, his involvement in slapping incident with Sreesanth was of past now and he doesn’t have any animosity with him and also badly wants to move on. He also expressed his excitement on fac,t that he could renew his much hyped rivalry, with his old foes likes Andrew Symmonds and Matthew Hayden.
Amit Mishra, who is all set to play a vital part in Delhi Daredevils spin department said that, he is going to alter his bowling strategy for IPL this year. He expressed his opinion that, in this format of the game, bowler are destined to go for runs anyway, so he would be looking to take wickets, which can deter any opposition.
He said that, even his senior Delhi Daredevils counterparts Virender Shewag and Gautham Gambhir opined that, taking wickets is his iron grip and added that he would give his best, to make impact with his performances.
Rookie spinner, who took five wickets in a test match debut against Australia , but did not get a chance, to play a single match in New Zealand tour, but wiped out concerns stating, that he had done enough bowling in nets, to Indian players and he is all set for good show in this year IPL.
It’s entirely a different situation for Anil Kumble, who was happily retired after test series against Australia, to make a return to Bangalore Royal Challengers team. His inputs and experience of South Africa conditions are going, to be valuable and he would be working under a new captain in name of Kevin pietersen and new coach. He also expressed his excitement, to play IPL this season.
So stage is all set for spin wizards to unleash their magic, for their respective team, which promises an exciting affair indeed.
