With no more than 2 weeks left for IPL fiesta in SA, all IPL franchise along with their teams are gearing up for the event, which is going to start in South Africa. Already franchises have streamlined their practise bases in South Africa and schedule of their practise session.
Delhi DareDevils announced that, it would start practising in Johannesburg, indicating it as its potential base; whereas Rajasthan royals and Punjab Kings XI would train from Cape Town. Chennai super king team has chosen Durban as their practise base.
Amrit Mathur, Delhi Daredevils official, in a interview, to press stated, that they would take all their twenty – four players in squad to south Africa, which is going to commence on April 7 and later send back players depending on the situation and team requirement and also expressed his opinion ,that they have very little time, to gear up, for the event, which is going to, commence soon.
Glenn .Mc.Grath is supposed to join the team in April 5, where Delhi daredevils coach Greg shipperd along side players of Australian contingent like David Warner, Nannes and Mc. Donal would directly join the squad in Johannesburg, instead of travelling to India.
Chennai Super Kings have already commenced their practise session, in Chepauk stadium, in Chennai, under watchful eyes of its selector V .B Chandrasekar, where Indian ODI players. who doesn’t feature in test like Suresh Raina are set to train.
Deccan chargers are also commenced immersing, in practise sessions and drills, with reputed Indian International like R.P. Singh and Rohit Sharma participating in the camps. Rohit Sharma, who attended a press conference recently, expressed confidence on his team and said that they are one of the strong teams, which has a chance, of making big, in this tournament.
For J.P.Duminy who is going to make his IPL 2 debut said that, it’s going to be a exciting as well as demanding period, where he have to complete his 5th ODI match, against Australia in April 17 and have to prepare for Mumbai Indians opening match against Rajasthan Royals next day (i.e.) April. He also expressed his excitement of playing alongside his childhood stars like Sachin and Sanath jayasuriya coupled with a huge remuneration of above 4 crores, which still he can’t believe.
Franchises are gearing up in full swing and sure will leave no stones unturned, to lift the elusive trophy in Johannesburg, which promises fierce IPL for sure.
