Rajasthan government clouts Modi for removal of Jaipur as a venue

Modi ties with his home state Rajasthan has taken a horrendous turn, ever since he lost out on his state cricket board elections. But now adding fuel to fire, Rajasthan state home minister Dhaliwal has staged a serious allegation against Modi, for his ulterior move to shift Jaipur as a venue.

It was said that, on March 8th a letter was sent by state home ministry to Rajasthan franchise, stating that they are willing to provide security matches if they are willing to host matches other May 4 to May 10. But state government states that IPL authorities never interacted with them like with other states and have published a new schedule.

When queried on these allegations to Mr Modi, he stated that these allegations are baseless and there is no way he would stop matches being played in his home town intentionally. He further went on to add, that when they contacted state government regarding the IPL matches, state government asked them for central forces for providing security, which was not possible.

Rajasthan state government letter to franchise, defers from Modi version of information and facts. It has enraged Rajasthan franchise owners, because they are the party which is going to be the worst afflicted, owing to cancellation of jaipur as the venue.

IPL CEO, Sundara Raman was also quick, to wipe out allegations stating, that it is not a intentional move to cancel Jaipur as the venue for IPL.

Modi, even stated that still state government, if interested can get in touch with MHA (Ministry of Home affairs) and rope their city as IPL venue. As dates are not yet given final approval.

Rajasthan Cricket association, states that their letter to franchise owners in March 8 is a clear testimonial, that they were always willing to provide security, but there was no official from IPL contacted them. They also denied Modi reprisal stating that they never demanded for any central forces.

Rajsthan Home Minsiter Dhaliwal, said that it was clear, that Modi is trying to take vengeance for his defeat in state elections and people of Rajasthan will never forget or forgive him for his filthy behaviour.

Not long ago, when Modi announced that Jaipur wont host inaugural match and it would be transferred to Mumbai, it raised few eye brows and now with the venue transfer it has scotched the conspiracy theories manifold between Modi and present state government in Rajasthan .
